Dr Shelton Leung is a Consultant Neurologist with a special interest in movement disorders, alongside a broad range of general neurological conditions. He is also fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin, and offers consultations in both languages.

Dr Leung graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2015 and completed his advanced neurology training at leading hospitals in Melbourne and Sydney, including Box Hill Hospital, St George Hospital, and Campbelltown Hospital. He subsequently undertook a Fellowship in Movement Disorders at Alfred Health and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2024.

Dr Leung has a particular interest in the management of Parkinson’s disease, atypical parkinsonism, tremor disorders, and dystonia. He also has extensive experience in treating general neurological conditions such as headache, stroke, and peripheral neuropathy. He is trained in botulinum toxin therapy for various neurological indications, including cervical dystonia, tremor, hemifacial spasm, blepharospasm, and spasticity.

In addition, Dr Leung offers advanced care for patients with Parkinson’s disease, including assessment for infusion therapies and deep brain stimulation (DBS). He is skilled in DBS programming and is currently undertaking a Master of Biomedical Science (Research) at Monash University, focusing on DBS in Parkinson’s disease. His research in this area has been published in peer-reviewed journals.
