Our expert team specialise in the diagnosis, treatment and management of patients with emerging and established cognitive dysfunction. This includes problems with memory, speech, praxis and executive function. These conditions may be temporary (e.g. concussion) or degenerative (e.g. dementia)

Dr Matthew Hughes is  Neuropsychologist who is trained to test and assess cognitive function, cognitive strengths and weaknesses..

Neuropsychology testing, a process that takes several hours and enables an in-depth understanding of cognitive strengths and weaknesses. The results of these tests are used to help diagnose cognitive dysfunction, dementia and the effects of head-trauma and concussion.

Direct referrals from GPs are welcome, although specialist Neurology assessment is recommended. There are currently no MBS item numbers that cover the costs of Neuropsychology tests.
