Dr Ganesvaran is a Neurologist and Geriatrician whose clinical interests include general neurology, movement disorders and geriatrics.

After undergraduate training at the University of Melbourne, Dr Ganesvaran undertook post graduate specialist training in Neurology as well as Geriatrics. He completed his fellowship in Movement Disorders at Monash Medical Centre, and his training involved work at the Parkinson’s Disease Centre of Excellence at Kingston Centre.  Dr Ganesvaran has published clinical scientific papers in high-quality peer-reviewed medical journals.

Dr Ganesvaran specialises in the treatment of Movement Disorders, including Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, dystonia, progressive supranuclear palsy, multiple system atrophy, other parkinsonian conditions and neurodegenerative disorders.  He is specially trained in the management of patients with advanced Parkinson’s disease and in inpatient multidisciplinary rehabilitation of patients with Parkinson’s Disease.

Dr Ganesvaran also treats patients with general neurological conditions, such as headache, migraine, vertigo, peripheral nerve disorders, cognitive problems, epilepsy, stroke and multiple sclerosis.

He currently holds public hospital appointment at Monash Health, where he works as a neurologist as well as a geriatrician.  He is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching at Monash Health.

He is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists, Australian and New Zealand Society of Geriatric Medicine and the Movement Disorders Society, and regularly attends national and international meetings.
