Hyperhidrosis is a relatively common problem of excessive sweating and fluid production. This can occur in the arm-pits and is known as “axillary hyperhidrosis”.

This problem can cause significant problems and embarrassment.

Treatment of hyperhidrosis and excessive sweating.

These uncomfortable symptoms can be treated with medicated antiperspirants, particularly those containing aluminum salts. Some of the strongest medicated antiperspirants require prescription.

If these antiperspirants fail then injections using fine needles and specialized drugs commonly used in neurology can be highly effective.

Injectable treatments can substantially improve hyperhidrosis. A series of injections performed by Neurologists can reduce axillary sweating for up to 6 months.
