Dr. Vimal Stanislaus is a highly qualified neurologist with dual subspecialisations in stroke neurology and neurophysiology.
After earning his medical degree from Flinders University (Adelaide), Dr Stanislaus completed his advanced neurology training through major tertiary hospitals in Melbourne, including Monash, Alfred and Western. Subsequently he pursued subspecialty fellowships in Stroke and Neurophysiology. He also holds a PhD in neuroscience from The University of Sydney, studying the neurophysiological aspects of Parkinson’s disease.
Dr Stanislaus is available for neurology consults and can perform nerve conduction and EMG studies for neurophysiological evaluations of conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, peripheral neuropathy, muscle disorders and tremor. He also specialises in treating patients with stroke, especially young stroke, as well as other cerebrovascular conditions.
